Biography

Sarah Dobbs is a lecturer in Creative Writing at Sunderland University. Her first agented novel, Killing Daniel, was published in 2012 and she is currently at work on her next. She is also the editor of English Language, Literature and Creative Writing (Anthem: 2014).

 ‘I write to explore the world and possible worlds and to reimagine our lives. Writing can and does have such impact on us – sometimes changing actions, hearts and minds.

 ‘I admire a number of writers, amongst them Cormack McCarthy, Margaret Atwood and Sylvia Plath. I’m also an admirer of short stories – high on my list are Graham Mort, AJ Ashworth and Kevin Barry.’
